About Christopher
Christopher Lawrence makes paintings and photographs inspired by Maine’s coast, rural landscapes, and everyday discoveries. His photographs range from autumn scenes in Aroostook County to the changing light of Friendship Harbor.
Working in acrylic and oil, he moves between wide-open landscapes and more intimate studies. A foggy coastline, a stone bridge, or a garden’s unfolding detail can become the beginning of a painting.
His work is currently on view at River Arts in Damariscotta, with one piece in the juried Artist’s Choice exhibition and 15 works in the River Room duo exhibition with Stephanie Muri.
After the December Celebration show, Christopher plans to spend the winter developing new work for the May–October 2027 selling season.
